We are immediately hiring people for part-time or full-time Family Engagement Specialist positions. Gain communication, leadership, and grassroots organizing skills.
The Family Engagement Specialist will work to build our base to support successful campaigns and win change. The Family Engagement Specialist finds, trains, supports and educates community-based leaders to recognize their own assets and build power in the community. They build relationships among community leaders and between community leaders and power holders. The Family Engagement Specialist moves the base to action to address the systems and public policies they collectively want to change to improve the lives of children and families. This includes shaping effective, strategic campaigns.
The ideal candidate is comfortable in an extremely fast-paced and dynamic environment and is a self-starter who has excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. The Family Engagement Specialist is an effective communicator, can build relationships with ease, is passionate about equity, and has a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a group.
Pay rate: $20-$25/hour.
