Early Childhood Day

Last week HCAN along with hundreds of children, parents and community advocates came together at the state Capitol for Early Childhood Day to advocate for bills like HB 2543 that aim to expand pre-k and early learning in Hawaii.

Our executive director, Deborah Zysman helped kids understand the issue by telling them "we’re here today to make sure that every kid gets to go to preschool because it’s super fun,” [she] said. “And we don’t think it’s fair that some kids don’t get to go to preschool.”
