Star Advertiser - Child care access crucial to recovery

Wednesday, May 13th  - Before the coronavirus outbreak, the amount of childcare providers did not meet the demand.Deborah Zysman, executive director of the Hawaii Children’s Action Network, told the state House Select Committee on COVID-19 Economic and Financial Preparedness that there were only enough child care center seats available to serve 1 in 4 children under age 5. 

This limited amount of childcare can only get worse unless child care is supported and taken as critical component in recovering the economy. Read the full article here.
