“Growing up in Hawaii inspired me to study how children perceive and interact with people who are different than them,” Pauker said. “The data clearly shows that even young children easily pick up on nonverbal behaviors that reflect racial biases. And it also shows how we, as a community, can stop perpetuating those biases.”
