Keiki Caucus looks at health, welfare of Hawaii children

HONOLULU -

The state's Keiki Caucus previewed priority measures addressing the health and welfare of children across Hawaii.

The proposed bills are the result of a joint collaborative effort with legislators and the non-profit organization Hawai'i Children's Action Network and will be introduced in the 2018 legislative session.

Some of the measures on the table include barring tobacco product sales within 750 feet of a school, and financial support for a transitional housing program for homeless youth.
